SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE is headquartered in Herndon, VA and Washington, DC and has 350 + active chapters throughout the United States and its territories. Over 11,000 working and retired business executives, professionals and business owners donate their time and expertise as business counselors.
SCORE was founded in 1964 and has helped more than eight million small businesses. We are a 501 (c) (3) Not for Profit organization and contributions to SCORE and local chapters are tax deductible as defined in relevant tax code.

The U. S. Small Business Administration established in 1953, provides financial, technical and management assistance to help Americans start, run and grow their businesses. SCORE is a resource partner of the SBA. The SBA administers a Congressional grant which provides funding for SCORE. SCORE volunteers provide mentoring and training for existing small businesses and entrepreneurs who are preparing for business ownership.
